Pol Gavroy is one of the few surrealist artists in Belgian Luxembourg. He was born in Arlon in 1931, and studied architecture in Liège and Brussels. His passion for drawing, which he developed from his childhood, combined with a taste and an in-depth knowledge of music, is expressed in a curved and dreamlike graphic universe. Pierre-Alain Gillet says of him that his "work was nourished by architecture, From the cult of lines, technology (), sketches of light and shadow, sketches, mathematics and mechanical. () He wants to build the concern of Cosmos with structured and shaded shapes, precise volumes, twists and gears ”.
The musician artist, musical columnist in His hours, nourishes A deep sensitivity on the human condition and His place in the universe. Its monumental charcoal and pencil frescoes recall Dali or Chirico. About fifty works are to be discovered in this retrospective, which will speak to the imagination of each of us.
