Human imitation underlies many of the aspects of our behaviour. This Mimetic Desire' workshop run by Jacopo Jenna takes as its springboard the concept of imitation an essential learning principle and a fundamental element in cultural transmission. You will experiment with simple principles such as copying, transforming and reconstructing, observing various examples of choreography and imitating them. You will have the opportunity to transform these into a new dance in which errors become a factor for innovation, transforming the process of imitation into the creation of something entirely new.
