For its launch in May 2024, Elektron takes you to discover the hidden side of digital. An urban journey of seven artistic projects invites you to explore the underlying physical structures of the contemporary digital world.


Our daily digital experience is almost exclusively wireless. The internet and the Cloud are accessible with one click and at any time, like invisible and vaporous objects. But in reality, they rely on a colossal infrastructure that extends sprawling across the planet.


Data centers, underground cables, intercontinental submarine cables, antennas and satellites make up this decentralized and interconnected infrastructure that functions like a network of networks. Paradoxically, its omnipresence in our lives often makes us forget the energy, political, cultural and social issues linked to its deployment and use.
