Everyone hurts somewhere: in the body, the head, or the heart. Six individuals come to heal within a group, united by an animator, a gentle mix between an artist and a social worker. These naive beings come to do theater to "feel better," and everyone is willing to try staging 'Twelfth Night' by William Shakespeare in a gym. These men and women perform theater, sitting on a pommel horse or on wall bars.
Through borrowed words or awkward silences, their humanity reveals itself, confronting us with the solitude of this world, where taking care is sometimes neglected. This group is portrayed by masked actors, an additional layer to explore the human soul. These masks, like a second skin, blur genders and highlight the expressiveness of the bodies. Identity confusion is at play. As in 'Twelfth Night,' there is cross-dressing. Unlike 'Twelfth Night,' love is not so easily achieved. 'Love is for Butter' is an ode to theater, to human beings, their flaws, and the complexity of emotions.
