Theatrical visit: Ocellio, the "procurator" administrator of the Roman villa at Echternach, and Valentinina, the mother of the villa's owner, open the doors of their sumptuous home to you. During the tour, Ocellio will first introduce you to the plants grown in the estate's garden, their benefits, and everyday uses in Roman culture. Using historical events and tasty anecdotes, he immerses you in Roman life and culture. Finally, with Valentinina, he invites you to discover the different areas of the Roman villa and their functions, in a way that is both surprising and amusing, thanks to the unpredictable nature of the matron. Because of her age, she tends to forget and confuse historical facts, places, and people. This explains why Ocellio not only has to look after what's left of the villa after the invasion of the Germans around 270 AD, but also Valentinina, the lady who on occasion loses her mind.
