Literary Tuesdays - Meeting with Pascal Wuttke
Once or twice a month (always on Tuesdays), the Lëtzebuerg City Library invites literary authors to present their novels and read excerpts from their works, followed by a discussion with the audience and a book signing. On the program for Literary Tuesday on November 18: Pascal Wuttke, “Le souffle de sainte Barbe” (The Breath of Saint Barbara).
Le souffle de sainte Barbe by Pascal Wuttke is a poetic novel about departure, memory, and the magic of the unknown. In 1972, young Bob, the grandson of a former miner from Moselle, sets off hitchhiking to Morocco—guided by a mysterious “breath” that accompanies him through initiations, perils, and inner transformations. Between family heritage and spiritual quest, a narrative mosaic unfolds where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur.
Originally from Lorraine, Pascal Wuttke lives in a village close to the Luxembourg border. After studying education and management, he worked for an association committed to the rights of people with disabilities. Now retired, he is fulfilling a long-held dream: to devote himself fully to writing.
