Classification is often considered a necessary step to understand and position artistic, curatorial, and research practices. It undoubtedly helps structure projects and secure funding. However, when these boundaries blur, artists, curators, and researchers encounter the limits of traditional categories, making classification a double-edged tool. This discussion does not aim to establish rigid categorization. On the contrary, it seeks to open a space for reflection on the potential of crossing boundaries and exploring methods or discourses that a strict disciplinary framework would otherwise exclude.
