📚 To mark the 650th anniversary of Giovanni Boccaccio's passing, the Italian Embassy, in collaboration with the LIL – Libreria Italiana Luxembourg, invites you to a conference exploring a lesser-known aspect of the renowned author of the Decameron: his role as a diplomat and man of culture of his era.
🎙 This event will be led by Pietro Sorace, a young historian and cultural communicator who has passionately dedicated himself to making history accessible. With a background in history and experience in radio, he created @lostoricochecipiace, a project that merges passion, entertainment, and cultural dissemination by bringing history to social media and TV with energy, intelligence, and a touch of humor.
🎭 The event will also feature participation from Teatrolingua and will include a theatrical performance where an actor will interpret excerpts of Boccaccio's writings, bringing his literary voice to life in an engaging and vivid narration.
