Porn for the Blind is the story of Eva, a young woman who falls in love with a blind man she meets briefly before he mysteriously disappears. To find him, she gets a job at "Porn for the Blind," a company specializing in the audio description of pornographic films for blind people. In this unexpected world, Eva explores how desire and eroticism are built without images, through sound and imagination. Blending sharp humor, social critique, and absurd poetry, Porn for the Blind constantly shifts between situational comedy and the underlying seriousness of its themes. It is also a subtle exploration on the absence of sight in a world saturated with images. Victorien Robert was inspired by a real-life phenomenon: an American website, created in the 2000s, that offered audio descriptions of porn videos for blind or visually-impaired people. He uses this surprising topic as a vehicle for a biting and contemporary reflection on the overconsumption of images, digital voyeurism, and the desperate search for strong sensations. A disconcerting and exhilarating experience for the audience.
