An exhibition to better understand society in Luxembourg
The DemokratieLabo is an interactive exhibition, specially developed for Luxembourg and suitable for people over 12 years old.
Visitors are guided through the exhibition using a notepad. Throughout the course, they will be invited to answer questions about identity, prejudices, freedoms, differences and justice in Luxembourg.
It is not a test and the answers are neither good nor bad, the goal being to reflect on certain subjects treated in this "lab" and to discuss them with the other participants. The exhibition does not explain to visitors how the elections are organized, the composition of the Chamber of Deputies or the role of the Grand Duke. The creators rather wanted to provoke questions and reflection among visitors, for example with questions such as "how are our relations between citizens? What is our opinion and what is the role of the media?"
61 different stations are offered in the form of experiments, practically all of them require some kind of manipulation, like in a real laboratory. A report can be issued at the end of the visit, with the summary of the responses which will not be evaluated or judged.
