Walk through the slate galleries for a journey through time. You will discover the entire slate manufacturing process, from its creation to the finished product. Also learn about the working conditions of the miners in Marteling and realize the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the galleries. During opening hours, you will be able to either contemplate the beauty of the gallery freely, or participate in guided tours and if you wish to extend your experience you can participate in the activities offered by the museum.
Good to know
For the visit, bring good closed shoes (hiking type) and suitable clothing (a good warm coat). For information, the temperature inside the galleries is 8 to 9 degrees, summer and winter. Guided tours take place by reservation and have a duration ranging from 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the choice of guided tour (4 different guided tours to choose from).
