Ronja, the Robber's Daughter (Cinema Paradiso)
Ronja, the Robber's Daughter, a Swedish film directed by Tage Danielsson in 1984, is an adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's novel. This German version film, with a runtime of 123 minutes, received a special award at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1985 for its creativity. The story follows Ronja, the daughter of robber chieftain Mattis. Amid the rivalry between her father and Borka, a competing chief, Ronja befriends Birk, Borka's son. When Ronja helps free Birk, captured by Mattis, the latter feels betrayed and disowns her. A captivating and heartwarming adventure for both children and adults.
