Since 1766, the image of the 'Comforter of the Afflicted' has been at the center of a unique votive altar deeply connected to the Marian pilgrimage. This altar stands as an exceptional piece of Luxembourg's cultural heritage. Luxembourg photographer Marc Schoentgen has published an impressive photo book about this altar, accompanied by informative texts in German and French.
