A musical theater inspired by a Norwegian folktale by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe. Valemon, the polar bear king, asks for the hand of Ragna, Count Erik's daughter. Erik refuses, but Ragna consents after dreaming of Valemon and discovering his heart brimming with love. Following the bear to his castle, she uncovers his secret: he becomes a man at night but they can only be together in darkness. Happiness is disrupted by a letter from Ragna's mother alleging Valemon to be a malicious troll, leading to captivating events of magic and bravery. An enchanting production focused on love and self-trust by Philharmonic.
