When music endures through cinema... This is the case with "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss and "Atmosphères" by György Ligeti. These two works became iconic thanks to "2001: A Space Odyssey" by Stanley Kubrick. The Bayerisches Staatsorchester performs them in what promises to be a true symphonic odyssey, making a stop at "The Isle of the Dead" by Sergei Rachmaninoff before Beatrice Rana joins to perform Maurice Ravel's "Piano Concerto in G Major."
