Who is Murat Öztürk: Born in Lorraine to a Turkish father and an Italian mother, Murat Öztürk did not grow up in a family of musicians but was nonetheless influenced by Neapolitan songs he heard on the radio. He dreamed of becoming a rock guitarist but discovered jazz: John Coltrane and Keith Jarrett... A wind of freedom then started to blow through his dreams, like a mental movie filled with foggy atmospheres and nostalgic scenes, which still inspire his compositions today.
