Once upon a time, there was a hunchback named Diego, consumed by love for Giralda. He lived in the shadow of a bell tower, hidden among the gargoyles. Was his hump an obstacle? On the contrary, he used it to dance every night, under the stars, for Giralda... A proponent of inclusive flamenco, the Sevillian choreographer José Galán blends the Middle Ages—its wonders and legends—with guitar, castanets, and Andalusian ruffled dresses. "El Jorobado de Sevilla" conveys a joyful and enchanting flamenco, which is also a powerful call for respect for difference.
