After a brief introduction to the artistic form of comics, participants gather ideas about the story they want to translate into images: the scenario is described, the protagonists are created and the storyboard is defined.
After defining the story's framework, each participant is assigned a drawing that he or she will create: In the first phase, they prepare the drawing in the form of a sketch, then they transfer it onto Bristol board paper. Once all the story's drawings are completed, they are pasted onto A3 paper.
Here's the story in comic strip style, to which each participant contributed their own piece. The comic strip, created as part of this workshop, will be exhibited at the festival's closing ceremony, which will take place on June 28. On this occasion, young art lovers will be given the entire story, reworked by the artist in charge, Andy Genen, in A4 format.
