The animals are fed up with being mistreated by their farmer. Once they succeed in ousting him, they dream of a world where all are free and equal. However, gradually, the pigs, smarter than the others, claim privileges for themselves. With 'Animal Farm,' a satire published in 1945, George Orwell warns of the fragility of democracy and the need for vigilance. This show, featuring bold visual choices, combines object theater, masks, and live rock music to bring a richly imagined world to life.
