Adored for twenty years on operatic stages for her crystalline voice as well as her stage presence, Natalie Dessay also brought her sensitive singing to French melody before musical theater and drama followed opera in her multifaceted career. Together with her partner Philippe Cassard, she presents a tour suffused with the delicacy of subtle emotions, combined beautifully with melodies and musicals: Ravel or Poulenc will engage in dialogues with Sondheim and Prévin, whose "I Want Magic" (A Streetcar Named Desire) resonates like a musical credo.
