An impressive fortification system, now largely disappeared, once protected Kirchberg and the fortress city. Designed by engineer Vauban during the 1684 siege, two-hour guided tours are offered to explore these fortifications.

Departure: Funicular, Boulevard JF Kennedy, Kirchberg. Languages available for the tour: German, English, French, and Luxembourgish. Bring suitable clothing, sturdy shoes, and a flashlight.
