The past 18 months have been a significant period for Tor Maries, known as Billy Nomates, a Bristol-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. The tour of her previous album, "CACTI" in 2023, critically acclaimed, culminated in a Glastonbury performance.
Behind the scenes, she decided to self-manage, evolving Billy Nomates from a solo project into a band. She also faced major personal challenges, including dealing with her father's Parkinson's diagnosis and eventual passing. Despite these trials, she has been working on her third album "Metalhorse," a turning point inspired by the challenges she has faced and her proudest work to date.
