In a universe both poetic and absurd, NEGARE depicts an elusive character whose identity transforms along with their desires, fears, and dreams. Throne-like under a golden carpet, they proclaim themselves master of their destiny, brandishing a carrot as a symbol of insatiable appetite or illusory naivety. This solo choreography blends physical theatre, expressive movement, and dance, questioning the perceptions we hold about ourselves and others. Through daring staging, NEGARE delves into the complexities of identity, external influences, and the mechanisms of acceptance or denial. A performance that provokes, fascinates, and deconstructs, inviting the audience to an intimate and collective reflection on the meaning of being oneself.
