The Youth Orchestra of The Netherlands (YON) consists of approximately 85 talented musicians between the ages of 14 and 20. They share a passion for music, playing with endless conviction and enthusiasm. During the Summer Tour 2026, the orchestra travels from The Netherlands to Luxembourg! For this particular tour, the orchestra will perform the incredible Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz. YON is honoured and excited to perform this key orchestral work of the 19th century, led by conductor Jurjen Hempel. Additionally, the orchestra invites a talented soloist to the stage for an inspirational collaboration at the highest level (to be announced). Each tour, the musicians go through an intensive rehearsal period to master the music and work on playing together in the orchestra. The result is an outburst of energy and inspiration that they bring everywhere they perform. Programme: · H. Berlioz: Symphonie fantastique · other works to be announced.
