In the 'Floral Fiction' exhibition, Claudia Larcher presents a fascinating reinterpretation of still life traditions through her 'Still Life 3000' series, drawing inspiration from Dutch painter Rachel Ruysch (1664-1750). Known as one of the Dutch Golden Age's foremost still life artists, Ruysch combined scientific accuracy with virtuosity to create vibrant floral arrangements with profound symbolic meanings. Utilizing artificial intelligence and digital media, Larcher introduces futuristic still lifes blending past and present, nature and technology, art and consumer culture. An interactive component through the Artivive app allows viewers to explore Ruysch's original works within these digital compositions.
