Before becoming enemies, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were classmates and friends in high school. The two powerful exorcists are tasked with protecting Riko Amanai, a student selected to be sacrificed as the Star Plasma Vessel, until she can fulfill her duty. Pursued by a religious sect and other masters of curses, they are the only exorcists capable of carrying out such a challenging mission—but this mission will seal their fates and test the two exorcists in unimaginable ways.
