This summer, the Luxembourg UNESCO Commission is represented at the LUGA (Luxembourg Urban Garden) with a series of seven public conferences held between August and September under the title "UNESCO Natural". These conferences explore our relationship with nature. Patrick Dondelinger, mediator at the Ministry of Culture for the UNESCO 2003 Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and Thierry Cumini, creative director at Pulsa Pictures, address a poetic theme: how can living heritage be captured on film? Their documentary work explores a specific area of intangible cultural heritage as defined by UNESCO: the knowledge and practices related to nature and the universe, passed down and adapted by communities in response to their environment, relationship with nature, and history.
