Canaletto's paintings in A Walk Through Art immerse us in 18th-century Venice, a city of light, water, and architecture suspended between dream and reality.
Through the eyes of Marieschi, Guardi, Canaletto, Lint, and Albotto, Venice becomes a living theater. Canaletto frames the city with almost architectural precision. Marieschi adds a touch of movement, of everyday life. Guardi dissolves forms into light, to the point of poetry. Lint and Albotto, each in their own way, extend this fascination, between fidelity and invention. These artists do not just paint a city: they translate a state of mind, an era, a European fascination for the "Most Serene", which has become, under their brushes, an eternal icon.
