It’s been six years since La Dispute released their last album, "Panorama." Since then, the Michigan post-hardcore band—composed of Jordan Dreyer on vocals, Brad Vander Lugt on drums, Chad Morgan-Sterenberg and Corey Stroffolino on guitars, and Adam Vass on bass—has dealt with the stagnation of the pandemic, celebrated the ten-year anniversaries of "Wildlife" and "Rooms Of The House", and begun crafting "No One Was Driving The Car." This fifth studio album, entirely self-produced by the band, evolved in locations such as Grand Rapids, Detroit, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Philippines. Partly inspired by the 2017 psychological thriller "First Reformed", the album delves into human malaise and the need for comfort amidst existential chaos. Featuring fourteen dynamic tracks, the band tackles profound topics with a revitalized enthusiasm.
