Three actor-storytellers take on Dumas' masterpiece, retracing the story and disrupting its chronology with a syncopated and incisive rhythm. A memory game where revenge and pain battle, memories jostle, blend, and lose the viewer in this dizzying maze imagined by Dumas. Betrayed and cast into a dungeon for fourteen years, miraculously freed, thought dead by those who loved and hated him, Dantès transformed into the Count of Monte-Cristo, patiently builds his revenge, gathers his enemies’ secrets, and embarks on a perilous journey, urged like a fire cloud crossing the sky to burn the cursed towns.
