Simultaneously a cultural icon and a societal challenge, this exhibition details the development of the sneaker. What is the origin of its cultural impact? How did the sneaker become a worldwide phenomenon? And what stories are inspired by it? The exhibition showcases this iconic shoe, breaking social and geographical boundaries to become a global style symbol. However, alongside this remarkable success, less visible realities are presented: unjust working conditions, intensive production issues, and the resulting ecological impact. Visitors are encouraged to consider more sustainable clothing practices. Through narratives, infographics, displayed objects, and interactive elements, visitors explore the realities behind this industry and gain new insights and concrete ethical action opportunities.
