What has the most similarity with a string quartet than a vocal quartet? And yet, even within the ensembles, the personalities, characteristics, and individualities stand out clearly. The group dynamics, the coherence of timbres, and the interplay of reflections in which the various elements recognize one another, diverge, and meet are aspects of the almost daily work of the ensembles SoloVoices and Quartetto Maurice. With 'Spiegel Spiele', SoloVoices and Quartetto Maurice invite composers Justė Janulytė and Bernhard Lang to work on varying scales: large ensemble with eight voices, double quartet, quartet, trio, and duo.
