Because they are too avant-garde, original, singular, experimental, surprising, strange, atypical, curious, bizarre, or different, some films struggle to find their place in cinemas and quietly disappear. This is often regrettable, and La Scala has decided to offer them a catch-up screening.
The eighth session, under the theme of Halloween, is dedicated to THE UGLY STEPSISTER by Emilie Blichfeldt, starring Lea Myren, Thea Sofie Loch Næss, and Ane Dahl Torp. This film portrays the story of Elvira, who, in a kingdom dominated by the utmost standards of beauty, employs the most extreme measures to outshine her stepsister in her quest to win the prince's heart.
