The Japanese animation film "The Cat Returns" from 2003, directed by Hiroyuki Morita of Studio Ghibli, adapted from the manga "Baron: The Cat Returns" by Aoi Hiiragi, is recommended for ages 6 and up. Haru, a shy schoolgirl, rescues a cat who turns out to be the prince of the Cat Kingdom. She is taken to this kingdom accompanied by the cat Baron, Mouta, and the crow Toto, in a poetic, adventurous journey featuring gentle music and eccentric characters.
