The walls of cities in the sixties were covered with numerous posters freely placed. Day by day, the posters overlapped, transformed, and were torn. The Affichistes, members of Nouveau Réalisme, were intrigued by these poster-clad walls reflecting ongoing societal changes. Raymond Hains, Jacques Villéglé, Mimo Rotella, François Dufrêne collected and dismantled these poster-covered walls. Their works resemble the city's outer layers, representing glimpses of pin-ups, political flyers, and advertisements. This resurfaces the society of the sixties, caught between economic growth and the tensions of decolonization wars. The lecture is conducted by Catherine Koenig, a national lecturer.
