What sound does our environment produce, and what information is ecologically relevant for environmental monitoring? What impact do artificial noises have on wildlife, and how can acoustic methods contribute to species conservation? This workshop, led by Sam Erpelding, introduces basic research methods in eco-acoustics. During an excursion to the Ellergronn Nature Reserve in Esch-sur-Alzette (LU), field research practices will be demonstrated with the help of sound technology.
