As part of his artist’s residency at Casino Display and the University of Luxembourg, artist Sam Erpelding organizes a series of events combining music, technology, and artistic research. On October 21st in the afternoon, a symposium will feature the artist alongside researchers César Reyes Nájera, Sebastian Döring, and Enrique Mendoza exploring intersections between architecture, ecology, sound, and technological mediation. These presentations pave the way for the evening's performative encounters. Visitors are encouraged to reflect on how artistic practices use sound to challenge our relationship with the environment, recording, transforming, and composing with natural sounds to foster new dialogues among ecology, music, and technology. The evening also features the opening of Sam Erpelding’s exhibition at Casino Display, showcasing the artistic research developed during the first phase of his residency at both the University of Luxembourg and Casino Display. The event concludes with a DJ set for celebratory interaction and sound exchanges.
