Every year, in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes, the town of Wiltz lights up in yellow and good cheer to celebrate the Broom Festival — the Geenzefest, a popular and colorful tradition that has been attracting thousands of visitors for 76 years.
A symbol of renewal and nature in bloom, broom carpets the hills of Wiltz at the end of spring. To honor this emblematic plant, the town organizes a grand flower parade: sumptuously decorated floats, brass bands, majorettes, Luxembourgish folk groups and international guests parade in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
Throughout the weekend, Wiltz comes alive with street entertainment, concerts, markets, exhibitions, and food stalls. On Whit Monday, the town center transforms into a festive haven, fragrant with broom and alive with collective joy.
Whether you are a local resident or just passing through, Geenzefest 2026 promises you a moment of conviviality, music and traditions not to be missed!
