Welcome to the Villa!
The exhibition showcases a selection of Luxembourgish art ranging from the classical modern era to the turn of the millennium. It includes numerous recent acquisitions and donations. Represented artists include the "Secessionists" such as Kutter, Rabinger, Schaack, and Klopp, as well as Ernest Wurth and Adrienne Baudoin-d'Huart. Works by painters like Henri Dillenburg and Nico Thurm, series of images by Wil Lofy, collages by Roger Bertemes, and sculptures by Pit Nicolas illustrate this diversity. From the 1950s/60s, artists like Jacqueline Hentges and Coryse Kieffer signify the feminization of artistic creation. Finally, works by modern artists like Moritz Ney and Bettina Scholl-Sabbatini complete this overview.
