The "Topography of Human Rights" trail highlights places that have either witnessed human rights violations or are symbols of their implementation and preservation.
Emphasis is placed on the evolution of the Luxembourg people towards an open, democratic and diverse society, whose values are deeply rooted in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
At the same time, it is important to show that society, subject to internal and external influences, is in perpetual change, which makes it fragile and vulnerable.
The aim of this tour is to raise visitors' awareness that democracy and respect for human rights are not guaranteed, even in modern states. It is essential to remain vigilant in order to identify and counter negative trends that could jeopardize society as soon as they emerge.
