The Last Metro (Cinema-Theatre)
The Last Metro, directed by François Truffaut in 1980, is a French film starring Catherine Deneuve, Gérard Depardieu, and Jean Poiret. In Paris, September 1942, Lucas Steiner, the Jewish director of Théâtre Montmartre, is forced into hiding. Marion, his wife, takes over the theatre's management and hires Bernard Granger as the lead actor. Together, they face threats from Daxiat, a virulent critic, while resisting oppression.
