Open Call: Join THEN, THERE & THEM, an artistic research group starting at the end of January 2026, with meetings twice a month at the Rainbow Center and the City Lab of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum. The group will present an exhibition in July 2026.
This multidisciplinary project aims to build an intentional community for connecting, researching, and exploring together through art. The group will draw on queer thinkers and artists to imagine and embody new ways of being and acting, treating queerness as an ongoing practice.
In the bimonthly sessions, participants will engage with queer and feminist theoretical texts, exchange around artistic practices, and collectively reflect on core questions such as the colonial construct of gender, gender as performance, and the queering of spaces.
Performance-based artistic practices will be explored through sensory exercises focused on body movement and presence, prioritizing embodied experiences.
Initiated by visual artist and performer Leire de Meer, the project is designed to develop into a horizontal dynamic. The group’s work will be presented in the City Lab of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum and at the Rainbow Center in July 2026.
