During this visit, you will have the honor of meeting the fortress commander, Adam Sigmund von Thüngen. He is desperately searching for new recruits as most of the soldiers are deserting. He will explain life in a fortified city with judges, merchants, craftsmen, beer brewers, and stonemasons. What are the conditions to become a good soldier? What is the pay, how do you become an officer, etc.? Dare to meet Sigmund but be careful not to end up enlisted as a new recruit!

Guided tour in French with Lex Gillen. Registration required. Suitable for ages 6 and up. €5 (+ entrance fee).
