100 years of Secession in Luxembourg
What does 'making a secession' mean in the field of fine arts? In 1926, tensions arose within the Luxembourg artistic community, leading young artists such as Joseph Kutter, Harry Rabinger, Jean Schaack, and Nico Klopp to create their own secession movement, separate from the well-established Cercle Artistique (1927–1930). This presentation, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition Bienvenue à la Villa!, commemorates this fascinating moment in Luxembourg's art history.
