An evening dedicated to chamber music for wind instruments and piano. The wind octet of the Conservatory (two oboes, two clarinets, two horns, and two bassoons) will open the program with "Parthia", the only wind octet by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1792 in Bonn.

The program also includes the suite for wind octet from the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" by Sergei Prokofiev, based on the tragedy by William Shakespeare. With this 1935 score, Prokofiev explores a new style that balances musical tradition and innovation.

The evening concludes with the sextet for piano and wind quintet by Louis Thuille, composed between 1886 and 1888, an original and little-known work for piano and winds.
