Photo exhibition by Alex Loos. Alex Loos is a digital artist and visual designer whose work focuses on the human body as a space marked by pressure and restraint. Working with photography and digital manipulation, the Iranian-born artist produces portraits that examine tension, vulnerability, and self-containment. A recurring feature of his practice is the use of fractal structures, where facial elements and textures are repeated, mirrored, or fragmented, creating images that transition between order and disruption. His previous series, Crack, addressed fragmentation as a sign of inner conflict. His latest body of work, Rupture, continues this approach by focusing on moments when silence and restraint can no longer be maintained. The exhibition presents digitally manipulated portraits that rely on stillness, gaze, colour, and fractal repetition to suggest internal pressure and release, rather than action or protest. Rupture examines what happens when prolonged silence gives way to exposure and presence becomes unavoidable.
