Film discussion: The impact of the Holocaust on families and subsequent generations (Discussion in Luxembourgish)
A father-daughter road trip through 1990s Poland: TREASURE tells the story of Ruth (Lena Dunham), an American music journalist, and her father Edek (Stephen Fry), an adorably stubborn Holocaust survivor, who travel together through his former homeland. While Ruth is determined to uncover the secrets of her family history, Edek pursues his own goals during the trip. This touching and humorous encounter between two New Yorkers and post-socialist Poland impressively shows how returning to one's roots and family can become an unexpected treasure.

The screening will be followed by a discussion between descendants of families affected by the Holocaust, moderated by Marc Schoentgen, Director of the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung. Original version in English with German subtitles. Discussion in Luxembourgish.
