  • Mmmhhh tu sembles intéressé par "sustainable development". Clique sur les mots clefs qui te plaisent... et hop ne rate plus rien les concernant. A toi de jouer !

Amid numerous crises and increasingly polarized societal debates, a growing number of people risk losing hope for a better future. The challenges seem immense, and addressing all the crises coherently appears difficult. To tackle these problems, many political leaders—including the Luxembourg government—are relying on the supposed instrument of “economic growth.” But is this truly the case? And is this growth compatible with environmental objectives?

A team of renowned experts from the Club of Rome and the Wuppertal Institute, in an international study published in 2022, outlined possible future trajectories: the perilous path of "business as usual" or the choice of a courageous transformation. Since then, national analyses have emerged, while scenarios are being developed in parallel for a multitude of countries. Their message is clear: social progress and sustainability can reinforce each other. Only by addressing them together can we develop effective and inclusive solutions.

Join this inspiring talk, presented by one of the study's authors, Till Kellerhoff.
