This SHORTS EVENING will include the screening of excerpts from the submissions to the Young Filmmakers Competition 2025-26, including the winning short films in their entirety, as well as the documentary film made by last year's winners.
Echoes of Galway (documentary, 15 mins, by Nina Zimmer & Salomé-Ange Wilk): The winners of the British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg Young Filmmakers Competition 2024-25 had the opportunity to travel to Galway for one week in July 2025, during which they were given free rein to shoot a documentary. "We dismantled the omnipresence, importance and magic of music through conversations with strangers and wander around the city."
Short films made by young filmmakers will also be screened.
