Sevillanas: Part 1 & 2 (for all genders)
Sevillanas are a popular dance from Andalusia divided into four parts, often performed at festivals. They are danced to a three-beat rhythm. While there are stylistic variations, the structure always remains the same, allowing two people—even strangers—to dance together, as if speaking a common language.
Typically performed in pairs, sevillanas can also be danced solo or in groups. They are taught as a codified dance with a repetitive and stable structure, perfect for developing coordination, spatial awareness, and rhythm—all in a festive atmosphere.
No percussive footwork is involved.
